Americano, is er dan niets meer heilig? Ik weiger terug te gaan richting hogere concentraties pelgrims en neem de gok. MaCA haakt af en gaat voor de Thaise loempia’s.
Vrienden, soms lacht het geluk je toe. Op de foto zien jullie een bak gras. Maar in feite is dit een bijna perfect broodje. De salade is eenvoudig, sla, tomaat & ui en het vlees komt van een plakrol. Ook de hete saus is afwezig.
Wat het perfect maakt? Het Turkse broodje is tot in de perfectie afgebakken. Het vlees is op exact het juiste moment van de rol gehaald: warm en mals. De knoflooksaus is wat dun, maar enorm sterk en met extra groene kruiden, die het, met de smakelijke vleeskruiden, een ultieme smaak geven. De openbaring wordt compleet door een ruime hoeveelheid feta. En het geheel is meer dan genoeg.
Met een broodje de deur uitlopen kan, maar Cedro werkt dit duidelijk tegen. Het is een restaurant. Hoewel de tent volledig vol zit heeft hij geen haast om ons kwijt te raken. Op ons gemak gebruiken we nog een meer dan uitstekende dubbele espresso en goede koffie na dit feestmaal. Een prima sfeer in een keurige zaak. Verder zal ik hem niet bewieroken, ik sluit af met het visitekaartje dat ik echt moet meenemen, terwijl hij me buigend uitzwaait. Cedro’s, je zou er een blokje voor omlopen.
