Jongens, het was tijd om weer eens naar Amsterdam te gaan om daar de beste kebab van dat dorp te eten!
Het gaat hier natuurlijk over de Dapper Killer, de superduper 100% lamsvlees, keuringsdienst van waarde-uitschieter van VROEGAH.
Is het nog wel oké of zijn ze inmiddels dermate arrogant en afgegleden dat je ze beter kan mijden?
Is het mogelijk om de standaard zo hoog te houden door de jaren heen?
Komt morgen de zon op?
Ala, ik was bezig bij het zwembad verderop, klaarde de klus en nam plaats in tram 3 die mij via Muiderpoort zou afleveren aan het begin van de Dappermarkt.
Ik passeerde een tent die ik laatste op youtube zag; Anand en zijn bara’s.
Dat was op eeeeh, ‘Nana Connecting flavours’, een leuk kanaal als je van vreten houdt.
Die gozer die het maakt, doet dat heel goed. Ik raad jullie aan er eens naar te kijken.
Volgende keer pak ik ook een bara mee bij deze vrolijke vent!
Raar is dat eigenlijk, als ik over bara’s praat, heb ik meteen trek. Of is dat niet raar?
Whatever.
Ik liep daar te mijmeren over de ons ontvallen kebabreporter Merijn Kool.
Hij is veel te vroeg naar de eeuwige dubvelden geroepen door Jahweh of welke god hier het beste past.
Zijn zusje Delicatesther en broertje Bert schreven ook voor deze site. En hun vader heeft ook enkele mooie reports aangeleverd. Wat een gemis moet dat zijn, wat een oneerlijke wereld is het toch ook!
Dat is toch wel een van de meeste gaye dingen aan ouder worden; er vallen steeds meer mensen dood neer om je heen. Het is soort van wachten tot je zelf aan de beurt bent.
Dat sterven, het gaat je niet in de koude kleren zitten moet ik bekennen. Niet alleen m’n ouders verruilden het tijdelijke voor het eeuwige, maar ook m’n halfbroer crepeerde van de kanker en een van m’n oudste vrienden werd door een tyfuslijer doodgeslagen.
Dat was alweer een tijd terug allemaal, maar de trein des doods rolt stug verder. Henk van de kraam stierf zomaar ineens, MAZL en RHONE kierden er tussenuit. Anneke kreeg een rolling en lag dood op de vloer toen Orlando haar vond. M’n favoriete tante ging op tilt en stierf een week na onze laatste ontmoeting. Het is allemaal best wel kut.
Maar wat kan je eraan doen? Niks. Kebab eten en bier drinken en van de juiste mensen houden tot ook jij tot stof wederkeert en onderdeel gaat uitmaken van de sterren. That’s life.
Van verre zag ik dat er een kleine rij stond bij de kraam, wat een goed teken is.
Alles lijkt nog hetzelfde, dezelfde familie, dezelfde bakken groenvoer en dezelfde, selfmade, lamsrol.
Ik betaalde 8.95 voor een klein broodje lam, kreeg een bon en wachtte tot mijn redding klaar was.
Is dat duur? ja, dat is het, MAARRRRRR…..je krijgt hier dus wel waar voor je geld.
Nou jongens, hoe was het?
Het was PERRRRRFECT!
Ja, dat was het.
De kwaliteit is super hoog, de opbouw te gek, de vulling spreekt boekdelen en de sfeer is precies wat je wil bij deze tent. We kunnen dit gerust een ‘KLASSIEKER’ noemen.
Normaal zat Beste Döner (zo heet deze tent. Ik dacht altijd dat dat ‘Restaurant Oké’ was…waarom eigenlijk?)…goed, normaal zat deze tent in een soort bermuda driehoek van toptenten, waarbij Safak 1 en Safak 2 de twee andere punten maakten, maar die zijn pleite zag ik laatst, toen ik erlangs reed voor….een begrafenis!

Hahaha vegan kebab! Hahaha, wat een giller! Die andere doe ik wel ergens binnenkort een keer, mocht ik in de buurt zijn. Eigenlijk heb ik wel weer zin in een kebabtour moet ik bekennen. In oost is best goed te vreten en dat zijn geen grapjes!
Waar was ik?
Beste döner is nog steeds de nummer 1 in Amsterdam. Mocht iemand daar anders over denken, wat goed mogelijk is, laat me weten waar het beter is, dan ga ik daar zo snel mogelijk heen.
Het lijkt me lastig om dit te toppen. Zeker als je kijkt hoe je broodje wordt opgebouwd, laagje na laagje. Gebakken uitjes, echt goede salade, uiensaus, sumak, perfect en juicy vlees….!!
Complete aanrader, kan niet misgaan, beste keus wat mij betreft. Superfijn dat niet alles zomaar doodvalt of kapotgaat.
