Een paar weken terug was ik met mn eega in Frankrijk, een land dat me niet een, twee, drie bevalt.
Per Thalys (king) en TGV (toy) kwamen we na negen uur reizen aan in Biarritz, vlakbij de Spaanse grens.
Een dorp voor surfers en rijkelui, vrij pittoresk en toeristerig.
Een vriend van me noemde het het ‘Zandvoort van Frankrijk’ en daar zat hij niet erg ver vanaf.
Er zijn best wat coole zaken te vinden in Frankrijk, zoals chips die we hier niet rocken en enorme flessen bier, maar ook vreemde shit als een kakker met een koelkast en hele smerige magnetrontosti’s die je nog niet aan je hond zou geven.
We liepen wat door het dorp, dronken her en der een glaasje en terwijl mn vriendin zich met moeite door de golven zwoegde met haar surfplank, las ik een kutboek van die dude van de Da Vincicode.

Ik kreeg mn baguette kebab vol patat en ging op een bankje zitten om er eens goed in te duiken.
Nadat er hard gegeten moest worden om door de pommes frites heen te komen, waarbij de vele mussen me een handje hielpen, stuitte ik op vlees.
Wat moet ik hier nou van zeggen? Het was vlees, zover kom ik wel…misschien had ik wel de hele ervaring vermoord door er, uit wantrouwen jegens fransen, samuraisaus bij te vragen.
Tja, straks zit ik met een broodje zonder bite en dat laat ik me niet gebeuren. Ook niet in dat vermaledijde Frankrijk.
Beetje sla, tomaatje, klodder samurai en een paar streepjes vlees die sowieso niet van een rol afkwamen. Ik heb er namelijk geen kunnen ontdekken.
Ik moet zeggen; ik at dit broodje kebab zodat dit report er zou komen. Ik kan nergens meer heen zonder te zoeken naar kebab. Het lot van een reporter, het lot van ons allen hier op de site; we zijn allemaal vlees, saus, groenvoer en (Turks) broodminded geworden en moeten en zullen vreten, schrijven en conclusies trekken! Frankrijk zal mij niet meer op bezoek krijgen.
