Het valt me tegen al die reports te tikken achter elkaar moet ik zeggen..en dan gaan ze nog bitchen dat ik te vriendelijk ben ook. Wat een sof.
Goed. We waren op Naxos dus. Zwaar aan te raden als je van rust houdt en met je blote reet op het strand wil liggen.
Ook kan je er redelijk eten. Een goede Thai en een leuke Mexicaan tussen al het gyros, souvlaki en moussakageweld. En natuurlijk een zooi tenten die pitas gyros verpatsen.
Naast broodjes beest serveren ze hier ook een andere favoriet: octopus!
Oh oh, wat vind ik dat toch lekker zeg! Zo’n bordje gekookte octopus in olie met citroen……oh oh oh, waarom heeft niet elke Griek dat hier in dit land?? WAAROM?

De beste tent van Naxos trof ik recht tegenover die eerste tent, Estia. Dit monument draagt de naam 2Thesio, wat iets betekent dat ik alweer vergeten ben in de twee weken dat we terug zijn.
Een schone tent, ziet er profi uit, goed spit gaande, veel soorten saus en aan het bord te zien, de juiste instelling.
Pitaatje haloumi? Tuurlijk! (helaas geen pita octopus..)
De eerste keer dat ik hier binnenliep, besloot ik gewoon te gaan voor de kernzaak; kebab.
Ik kreeg een pita met een kebabworst, zo’n worst die hier kebab represent…..het ziet er nooit uit als döner omdat het niet van de rol komt maar gefikt wordt als een bbq, maar dat wisten we eigenlijk al.
Je kan hier kiezen uit verschillende sauzen, te weten: fetasaus, tzatziki, tomatensaus en mosterdsaus. De bijzaken zijn ui, tomaat, komkommer en patattekes.
Ik moet zeggen dat deze variant me wel kan bekoren op de een andere manier…misschien wilde ik wel gewoon heel graag dat dit de beste tent zou worden.

Enkele dagen later bezochten we dit etablissement weer voor de gyros en ik kan niet anders zeggen….die was killer!
Wat oregano erover gesprinkeled, mosterdsausje, tzatziki en een zooi rauwe ui, mooier wordt het niet.
Wat tevens het vermelden waard is, zijn de ogen van het meisje dat je pita in elkaar draait. Pikzwart haar, olijfhuidje en dan fonkelende, lichtgroene ogen met mad wimpers.
Niet voor de poes! Leuke bijkomstigheid…een lekker wijf en lekker vreten, goeie combi.
Het kan ook zijn dat ze roken dat ik graag vlees eet en het juiste broodje op waarde kon schatten, want ze deden wel erg hun best…en dat was niet zonder succes.
