Een broodje of zeven, deze maand. Volgende week een toertje waarvan we nu al kunnen voorspellen dat er erg slechte broodjes gegeten gaan worden. Weet je, heel even geen kebab voor deze jongen. Nou ja, nog eentje dan, een “nieuwe” tent in Haarlem kan ik niet laten lopen. Weliswaar een tent die ongeveer 2 keer per jaar van naam veranderd, maar goed, hij stond voor zover ik weet onder nog geen enkele naam op deze site (zou ik dat verdacht moeten vinden?) dus het moet er maar eens van komen.
Nog precies dezelfde inrichting als altijd. Ik heb hier geloof ik wel eens ’s nachts een kipcorn in mijn handen gedrukt gekregen van Bas. Omdat we aan het blaten waren en de nacht nog lang zou zijn. En ik wel wat moest eten van hem. Vermoedelijk nog in het pre kebab tijdperk. Bijzaak. Er kwam een mooi en smakelijk bolletje, dat zijn naam eer bleef aan doen omdat het uit de oven kwam, en niet in een toaster gepropt werd. Vlees werd van de rol geschoren, waarschijnlijk de eerste oogst van de dag aangezien het helaas toch nog behoorlijk droog was. Smakelijk was het zeker nog, maar iets minder droog zou ik helemaal niet erg vinden. Sla, ui, augurkje, wat wortelsliertjes, en een vers gesneden plak komkommer en tomaat. Standaard saus. Ik zag ergens op een tafeltje een bakje met van die gedroogde chilikruiden staan, dus als je blijft zitten kun je er zelf nog even goed de fik in zetten. Zat er bij mijn afhaal broodje helaas niet op.
Tijd om af te rekenen… Ik had ergens 3,50 zien staan, dus mijn verbazing was groot toen ik van mijn vijf euro er drie terug kreeg. Achteraf blijkt dit een aanbieding te zijn, geldig tot 31 januari. Daarna weer 3,50, en ben je in het bezit van een studentenpas betaal je 2,50. Wat ik nog steeds de beste prijs vind. Zeker voor standaard broodjes als dit.
