Ik zat zo eens te kijken waar we allemaal geweest zijn om kebab te eten in ons mooie landje.
Tot mn grote verbazing zat Amersfoort er niet bij. Dichtbij maar nog immer ongegeten, da kennie…
Kwam het even goed uit dat ik naar een zogenaamde zeepkistsessie moest van mn werk.
In Amersfoort!
Door de sneeuwbagger en de vertraging van de NS belandde ik rond vieren op het station aldaar.
Ik nam plaats bij de sessie die de lijn van het bedrijf waarvoor ik werk uitzet over 2011, erg boeiende materie allemaal.
Tijdens al dit gedoe was ik met mn gedachten allaaaaaaaang in een kebabzaak.
Google wist me er twee te vertellen die beloopbaar zouden moeten zijn vanaf het centraal station.
Mooi.

Aangezien mn collega Dennis er ook was en hij hier woont, mag hij me erheen escorteren.
Dat we ook naar de shop gingen, ala, dat spreekt voor zich. Zeker na een ‘borrel’ van je werk.
In het toch wel redelijk pittoreske centrum van deze stad, tussen de kittige winkeltjes en zaakjes die bijna Dickensiaans aandoen, zitten her en der eetgelegenheidjes verstopt.
De eerste waar we tegenaan liepen, aan de westsingel 1, was de, ruim opgezette, Döner King.

Omdat ik nogal een bakkie ophad na het werkgebeuren, was ik nogal enthousiast binnengelopen met gebral over kip, kalf en vers van de rolgesneden shit.
De beste man leek een ietwat verrast door mn barrage maar ala, iedere kebabtent kent zn lamme clièntele.
De deal:

Zo’n pitavormig ding waarvan ik de naam niet weet. Rond iig. Goed gebakken, weinig tot geen barsten.
kalf rechtstreeks van de rol.
Sla, ui, rode kool, komkommer en tomaat.
Geen alcohol, jammer, minpuntje.
Standaard sambal, maar ietwat slappe knoflooksaus.
Drie euro vijftig.

Iemand wist me te vertellen dat er wel dertig zaken in deze stad zouden zitten.
Dat lijkt me iets om uit te zoeken en daarna in één ruk door helemaal leeg te vreten, wat jullie kebabreporters?
