Dus stond op het punt door te lopen. “kom je alleen even kijken of kan ik je helpen” Ik zie dat je alleen shoarma hebt en geen kebab… “Kijk mn vlaggetjes! Kijk mijn spit!!! Natuurlijk verkoop ik kebab!” 1 broodje dan, hier opeten graag. “Ik ga een broodje voor je maken… Daar ga jij nog over nadenken op je terugweg naar huis!” Ondertussen ging er een turkse bol in de combimagnetron die tussen de rest van alle spullen was verstopt. Vlees kwam uit een plastic bak en ging op de bakplaat. Een volgende besteller werd ondertussen ook meteen wat kebab op zijn lahmacun aangepraat. “Zal ik er wat uitjes bij bakken voor je?” Ja lekker. De verkoper ging tussendoor rustig ouwehoerend verder met het broodje en wat andere bestellingen. Een paar minuten later was het zover en kon ik gaan eten. Broodje in de welbekende kebabbak. Knoflooksaus in een apart bakje. Sambal uit de fles. Een vertrekkende klant werd bedankt voor zijn gezelligheid en de verkoper hoopte de volgende keer weer zo met hem te kunnen lachen. De klant had los van de bestelling geen woord gezegd toen hij binnen was.
Maargoed, genoeg geluld over de snackbar verder met het broodje. Het bleek kip te zijn. Kipkebab is iets dat ik vrijwel nooit eet dus had er geen moeite mee. Het was ook niet alsof er andere keuze was. Het broodje was uitstekend uit de oven gekomen. Het groenvoer was de bekende sla, tomaat, komkommer. En er was dus gebakken ui. Lekker. De knoflooksaus was opvallend sterk. Duidelijk zelfgemaakt. De sambal was flauw en dus vooral voor de sier. Al met al was het een gemiddeld broodje. Het vlees was iets droog maar wel lekker gekruid. Niet saai dus. Helaas kon de uitstekende service er geen echt goed broodje van maken. En toch voor een minisnackbar met kebab als bijproduct was het helemaal niet verkeerd. Op de terugweg moest ik er inderdaad nog even aan denken.
