Nog steeds op een missie om Bert zijn ongelijk te bewijzen, en mijn maag tevreden te stellen werd ik gelokt door de mooie foto. Nee, dat is trouwens niet waar. Ik werd gelokt door de schreeuwende lichtbak aan de gevel, en het feit dat deze zaak nog niet aan Bert’s niets ontziende honger ten prooi was gevallen. Maar toen ik de zaak naderde zag ik op een promotiefoto die de zaak siert een pepertje. Op een broodje kebab. Zou het dan toch?
Nee. Nee. Nee. Na eerdere hints die ik die morgen mocht ontvangen (dicht, dicht, open maar nog geen kebab) had ik mijn verlies moeten nemen als een man. Maar nee, ik moest en zou natuurlijk doorgaan. Het resultaat? Zeker geen pepertje. Ook niet in de sambal. Redelijk broodje, maar wat heb je daar aan als de vulling niet in orde is? Een vulling bestaande uit laf kippenvlees. En met laf bedoel ik ook laf. Niet eens cup-a-soup kip smaak, en zeker geen poelier grill achtig vlees. Ik zit hier krampachtig te bedenken of ik nog meer over dit broodje weet. Enige maanden na mijn laatste Dappermarktbroodje zou ik alsnog een tof report daarover kunnen schrijven. Of over Apeldoorn. En een paar dagen na dit broodje komt er niet eens een volledig report uit mijn vingers over dit broodje. 3,50 Euro weggegooid geld, geen blijvende indrukken, zelfs de slechte ervaring ben ik alweer vergeten.
