Na alle mooie stukjes van Bas over nog betere broodjes uit Berlijn is het weer tijd voor iets slechts. Iets heel slechts!!! Ik dacht met het Albert Heijn instant broodje döner kebab uit de magnetron toch wel het dieptepunt bereikt te hebben maar het blijkt nog veel erger te kunnen. Dit stukje gaat over pure zelfkastijding.
2 weken geleden zocht ik het internet weer eens af over alles wat met kebab te maken heeft. Ik werd gestraft door op Ebay de in Engeland gemaakte Tonys Pot Noodle Döner Kebab te ontdekken. Voordat ik er erg in had was mijn bestelling geplaatst. 3.49 pond voor de noodles en 2 pond verzendkosten. Omgerekend was ik dus 6,36 euro kwijt voor een bakkie noodles. Ik vervloekte mijn verslaving. Wist dat het sowieso niet te vreten zou zijn. Toch keek ik eigenlijk ook meteen wel uit naar het schrijven van dit stuk. Waarschijnlijk is dat de enige verklaring voor mijn anders onverklaarbare daad. Afgelopen weekend werd het zorgvuldig verpakte pakketje bezorgd. Tering!!!
De bereiding spreek voor iedereen die wel eens noodles eet voor zich. Even voor de duidelijkheid. Ik behoor niet tot deze groep mensen. Ik hou van lekker eten! Daarom dus even een korte uitleg. Het folietje dient verwijdert te worden. daaronder bevinden zich de voorgekruide noodles en een zakje chilisauce met de toepasselijke tekst “TEAR HERE”… de tranen stonden inderdaad in mijn ogen. Je voegt wat kokend water toe. Wacht 2 minuten. Even roeren en vervolgens nog 2 minuten wachten. Chili sauce toevoegen en er zou gegeten kunnen worden.
Probleem. Hoe moest ik dit gaan beoordelen. Normaal beoordeel ik het broodje, de verschillende soorten groenvoer en het belangrijkste deel. Het vlees! Aangezien geen van deze producten aanwezig bleek te zijn wist ik moeilijk waar te beginnen. Had ik al vermeld dat ik niet van noodles hou? Misschien zou dit wel de uitzondering zijn. Wie weet smaakte het echt naar döner kebab en was het hartstikke lekker. Kom op…Wie probeer ik eigenlijk voor de gek te houden. Natuurlijk moest dit kut met peren zijn. Smerige peren wel te verstaan. Toch besloot ik mijn ballen bij elkaar te rapen en gewoon een hap te proberen. Hetgeen ik al voorspelde kwam onmiddellijk uit. Dit was echt te ranzig. Al na één hap begon ik Tony (de maker van dit spul) te vervloeken. KEBABVERKRACHTING, SCHAPENNEUKER, en diverse andere krachttermen die niet voor herhaling vatbaar zijn galmden door de kamer. Als ik moslim was geweest had ik een fatwa tegen Tony uitgesproken. Hoe durft deze man de 2 mooie woorden Döner Kebab te bevuilen met zijn product. Een product wat overigens alleen maar uit Engeland kan komen waar men echt lekker eten nog moet ontdekken. Maargoed, genoeg gescholden en terug naar het moment. Na die ene hap heb ik nog een halve hap geprobeerd om zeker te zijn van alles wat ik hiervoor omschreven heb. Dit was echt te erg voor woorden. Ik bedacht dat al het voedsel uiteindelijk op dezelfde plek eindigt maar deze keer alleen niet via mijn lichaam. Als je er ook behoeften aan hebt om smerige noodles door de wc te spoelen raad ik je aan naar de plaatselijke supermarkt te gaan. Een zakje yumyum is ook niet te vreten maar kost je maar 2 kwartjes. Het werd tijd om een eitje te bakken en af te koelen. Dit was zwaar beledigend. Voor döner kebab, voor mij en voor de algehele goede smaak.
