Je schijnt hier vrij goedkoop een shoarma speciaal te kunnen krijgen met het formaat van een dienblad gevuld met vlees maar als je voor een broodje kebab gaat zul je dus verder moeten lopen. Dat deed ik en eindigde bij Bakkerij Kevser.
Echte Turkse bakkerij. In een hoek een kleine balie met een spit waar broodjes kebab, durums en lahmacuns gehaald kunnen worden. In de andere hoek een lange balie waar je aan je dagelijks brood geholpen wordt. Ik ging uiteraard voor het broodje kebab. Kosten 3,50 (wie weet ontketenen ze een kebaboorlog in Tiel). Een kleine vriendelijke Turkse vrouw maakt dit voor mij klaar en ik zie dat er veel vlees uit de bain marie word geschept. De bakjes sla zijn bijna leeg maar er zit nog voldoende in elk bakje voor mijn broodje. Nog wat meer vlees en wat saus en ik ben weer op weg naar huis.
Na het openscheuren van het folie zie ik meteen een vochtige plek op het broodje. Jammer altijd als dat gebeurt maar kan ook gewoon een nadeel zijn van het niet onmiddellijk verorberen. Verder valt mij op dat er erg veel vlees in het broodje zit. Ik pak het broodje uit het folie om te zoeken naar meer natte plekken brood en gelukkig valt dit mee. Na 1 hap dondert gelijk een grote lading vlees uit het broodje wat er echt niet meer in paste. Dit broodje zat vol en smaakte standaard goed. Lekker veel vlees maar toch af en toe een taai stukje, opvallende peterselie tussen de sla, goede hoeveelheid saus en op een zompige plek na krokant broodje. Jammer wel dat dit een standaard broodje was. Een kwart zelf gebakken Turks brood had best gemogen als je toch claimt een goede bakkerij te zijn.
