Tourtochtje met de auto naar een aantal plaatsen in de buurt van ons vakantiehuisje in de Eifel in Duitsland, leuke wegen met bochtjes, omhoog en omlaag dus een uitdaging voor je rijstijl…
Stadje Prum ziet eruit alsof het de moeite waard in om uit te stappen, maar na een half uurtje heb ik het daar wel gezien. Wel 2 kebabtenten gespot, 1 gesloten de ander,… ja sorry maar kwart voor elf s’ochtends vind ik net even te vroeg.
Weer naar de auto en wederom lekker rondkachelen, zon is doorgebroken en we arriveren in Gerolstein, een van de grotere plaatsen in de regio en zal dus wel een kababtentje hebben.
Ja hoor, langs de doorgaande route spotten we vanaf de rotonde ‘Turkmen‘ kebab. Achter het pand een geimproviseerde parkeerplaats waar je de auto maar ergens neer moet zetten lijkt het wel.
Aangezien we dicht in de buurt van ons huisje zijn besluiten we daar maar te eten dus het wordt afhalen, wel zo makkelijk aangezien onze kabouter ook nog moet eten en te jong is voor kebab.
Binnengekomen een nette zaak, echt netjes, de hele boel glimt gewoon, wel te zien dat deze zaak er al even zit maar schoon… alsof alles nieuw is.
Keuze uit 3 maten broodjes:
klein 3,20
normaal 3,70
en mega 4,80
Keuze uit lam of kip en in prijs scheelt dat niets, lam dus
Toch voor 2 broodjes kebab, de durum kebab is er niet. 2 gewone broodjes, alhoewel ik erg nieuwsgierig ben naar het megabroodje en ik best een flinke kerel ben en wel wat wegkrijg toch ‘zwei normale brotchen kebab, lahmsfleis bitte’. Ik had namelijk het normale broodje gezien bij de klant die al binnen was en die zag er flink uit.
Het is een raar mannetje, loopt een beetje mank en is nogal een hyper kereltje. Kijkt de hele tijd naar achterin de keuken alsof hij een eerwraakmoord verwacht ofzo.
Er komen 2 stukken turks brood tevoorschijn van ongeveer een kwart brood en deze gaan de grill in. 2 rollen vlees, en meneer begint aan de rechtse rol te snijden waar flink wat vlees af komt, ik ben benieuwd waar hij het laat.
Brood snel uit de grill en vlees erop, saus erover en vervolgens gaat hij het hele rijtje bakken af in de vitrine. Rode kool, witte kool, sla, ui, tomaat en een pepertje erbij en nog een beetje saus.
Bij het 2e broodje vindt onze nerveuze turk dat er niet genoeg vlees meer is om het broodje genoeg vulling te geven en snijdt bij, heel netjes.
Inpakken en op naar de auto.
Bij ons huisje aangekomen, is toch maar 10 minuten rijden, gaat het broodje weer open voor de foto.
eerst de boterham met jam klaarmaken voor de kleine en dan eindelijk folie open en eten.
Lekker broodje maar niets speciaals, door de overvloedige hoeveelheid groenvoer en met name de rode kool valt de tochal tamelijk smaakloze saus in het niet en dat is gewoonweg jammer. Maar het vlees is goed, en als je in de buurt bent is dit een prima plek om een broodje te halen.
