Broodje nummer één in mn mik, we lopen weer verder door de kinkerstraat.
Dertig meter (spreekwoordelijk) later is een Döner Plaza, maar die laat ik links liggen. We wandelen ineens tegen een bord aan dat toch echt te aanlokkelijk is om voorbij te lopen.
‘Kebabspecialist‘ staat er. Deze zaak op nummer 312 draagt de naam Dönerland.
Op de menu’s staat ook nog eens: ‘De eerste en de beste in Amsterdam’.
Kom maarrrrrrrrrrrrrrr op!!
Al snel kreeg ik mn broodje gebracht in het welbekende bakje. Vorkje erbij, alles in ordnung.
Een grote fles knoflook ernaast, sambal staat al op tafel.
Met zo’n bord en zo’n claim moet het natuurlijk wel wat worden met de Dönerland.
En ja, het was wat. Een bovengemiddeld broodje dat hier geserveerd werd!
Eindelijk weer eens een tentje waar je echt waar voor je geld krijgt.
De drie euro die ik kwijt was, bezorgde me een overheerlijk geroosterd broodje dat door zn dunne korst perfect gegeten kan worden. Tevens droeg dit broodje de beste ribbeltjes die me tot nu toe onder ogen kwamen in de wereld die Döner heet.
Genoeg vlees om tot de bodem te kunnen blijven entertainen en de juiste dosering, perfect verdeeld, groenvoer. Groenvoer dat bestond uit rode kool, ui, wortel, tomaat en komkommer…
Klinkt normaal toch? Maar dat was het niet.
Er zat iets zuurs in en, zoals de lezers wellicht weten, daar hou ik van. Lekker zuur dat afsteekt tegen het kruidige vlees, de waterige, maar hitsige sambal en de frivole knoflooksaus.
Ja, dit is een goed, bovengemiddeld broodje kebab. Ik geloof dat het ook met liefde wordt gemaakt; er hangt een positieve air in dit fijne tentje. Binnenkort eens een grote halen, kijken of het uberhaupt concurrentie is voor de Ibo in dit deel van de stad.
