Brakke zondag nummer zoveel…gisteren naar een toffe halloweenparty geweest, waar ik verkleed was als V, die knakker uit V for Vendetta, omdat die fucking masterlijk is. Na meerdere malen uit m’n nest geklommen te zijn om te pissen en water te drinken tegen de kater, realiseerde ik me dat ik mezelf niet had dood gereden met m’n lamme bek, wat op zich best relaxt is anders had ik geen kebab meer kunnen eten.
Ik was nog steeds op zoek naar dat kut broodje om af te zeiken en had nog een paar kebaktoko’s op mn lijstje staan, dus gaan met die zeekomkommer….er zal vlees gegeten worden. In Scheveningen zit een zaak die Döner & co. heet en een beetje Doner Company-achtig op mij overkwam, wat op zich wel positief is want die zaken zien er altijd goed verzorgd uit en daar hou ik van. Enfin, samen met Juffrouw Kip stapte ik in de auto en vertrokken wij naar Scheveningen. Na 26 rondjes te hebben gereden, omdat parkeren in Scheveningen een mission impossible is, vonden we eindelijk een plekje en liepen we hand in hand door de miezerige regen naar de kebabpusher.
Eenmaal aangekomen werd mijn vermoeden bevestigd. Een mooie, schone zaak, die onderdeel lijkt te zijn van New York Pizza. Na eventjes wachten kwam de kebabbert te voorschijn en nam mijn bestelling op, een broodje kalfsdöner voor mij en een lahmacun met kalfsdöner ( een pizza deluxe heet dat hier) voor Juffrouw Kip. Het broodje en de lahmacun gingen onder de grill en de kebabbert stak het spit aan…een goed begin dus. Maar, zoals wel vaker met een goed begin, was het vervolg ff wat minder. Zo kregen we geen vlees van het spit maar uit het warmhoudbakkie, minpuntje dus. Ik vind sowieso dat als je die vleesrol in de fik zet waar een klant bijstaat, je ook dat vlees moet serveren…dit was net als een lekker wijf dat d’r kut laat zien en je vervolgens de Rosie uit 1991 geeft en succes wenst bij het aftrekken. Maar goed, het broodje werd flink gevuld met vlees, er ging een goede hoeveelheid groente op en een flinke zooi saus…allemaal goed dus. Helaas zag ik meteen al dat de verdeling knudde was, maar dat is geen ramp want met een beetje knutselwerk kan je een hoop goed maken. Ik zette mijn tanden gulzig in het broodje, wat lekker knapperig en vers was, de sauzen waren heerlijk en het groenvoer lekker fris, maar het vlees….oh…mijn…god…het motherfucking vlees. Was dit kalf? Was het kip? Was het bejaarde, uitgedroogde stierenkont? Echt, ik kan met grote zekerheid zeggen dat dit het slechtste, droogste, goorste kebabvlees was wat ik ooit gegeten heb. Het leek net alsof ik in m’n keel geneukt werd door een zwaar geschapen kartonnen lul….gadverdamme wat een teleurstelling zeg. Het begin viel nog enigszins mee, omdat daar veel groente en saus tussen zat, maar het laatste stuk van mijn broodje heb ik weg geflikkerd ( iets wat ik volgens mij ook nog nooit eerder heb gedaan), omdat het zo droog was dat ik het niet kon doorslikken. Döner & co….tasty & healthy staat er op het logo, nou tasty was het in ieder geval niet en erg healthy volgens mij ook niet, want Juffrouw Kip zag ook nog dat de kebabber met zijn handen in de prullenbak duwde tijdens het verrichten van zijn werk ( HACCP alarmbellen rinkelen…). Het beste aan deze tent is dat de Burger King ernaast zit, dus beter doe je jezelf, je portomonnee en je smaakpapillen een plezier en haal lekker een burgertje dan dat je je in je mond laat verkrachten door Döner & co.
De zoektocht naar het kut broodje was bij deze dus met vlag en wimpel geslaagd…volgende keer hopelijk weer een goed broodje, geef die kut broodjes maar aan Bert.
