Waar was ik ook weer?
Oh ja! in Hoofddorp.
Onderweg naar de appie viel mijn oog op een nieuwe zaak waar broodjes döner worden verkocht aan hongerige voorbijgangers.
Deze straat is de straat van de Primark en aldus een straat die ik meestal mijd als de zwarte pest aangezien ik persoonlijk denk dat 80% van de wereldbevolking door de versnipperaar kan.
De achterlijke hoeveelheid kauwgum op de grond en de overal rustende tokkies met die half tamme primark tassen vol goedkoop prulwerk irriteren me altijd, maar ik liep deze route omdat ik anders blijf hangen in de platenzaak, een winkel die ik wel leuk vind.
Afijn, meteen dacht Ik: yesssss! Deze tent zal kut zijn en dus een leuk report waard.
Dus ik haalde m’n boodschappen en liep dezelfde, vreselijke, route terug.
Hebben jullie dat weleens? Dat je door zo’n centrum loopt en constant denkt aan iedereen neermaaien op full auto? Ik altijd.
Mooie zaak dit, super schoon, zal wel nieuw zijn.
De kassaman moet ook nog even wennen tijdens het aanslaan van m’n order en de daarbij horende eis dat er geen ijsbergsla in moet.

Goed. Met het broodje dik ingepakt loop ik weer naar huis door de sneeuw. Wat een tyfus is dat toch, sneeuw. Alsjeblieft rot op.
Thuis vouw ik het apparaat open en zie een vrij aantrekkelijk broodje kebab.
Wie heeft eigenlijk besloten dat broodjes kebab negen euro moeten kosten? Dat is verdomme 23 gulden!

Oh, ik zie online dat de beste döner ter wereld ook de prijzen heeft verhoogd en nu ineens 7.90 kost!
En Kottiwood is gesloten! Oh wow. Hoe kan dat nou weer zeg? Nou ja, het zal wel allemaal. Het is alweer acht jaar terug dat we op kebabtour gingen naar Berlijn.
Wat als eerste opvalt, is dat het broodje anders is dan de meeste broodjes in Nederland. Het is duidelijk een beter broodje dan normaal.
Breekt niet en houdt alles perfect binnen.
Op het papiertje eromheen staat: GERMAN DONER en dat, beste mensen, is nogal een claim.
Maar goed, het IS een goed broodje, dat moet gezegd worden.
Het zit ook propvol vlees, ook dat is een positieve wending. Is nog steeds geen Safak (RIP) of Dapperknaller maar zeer goed gevuld.
Het ENIGE dat ik mis, is een bite. De sambal is OF zeer zwak OF heel weinig. Door de shitload aan saus wordt het zo een ietswat zoetig en dat is niet 123 een smaak die ik graag heb.
Maarrrrr….dit lijkt me momenteel de beste döner van Hoofddorp. ik zal er nog een halen en dan extra sambal vragen, wellicht dat ik dan de horlepiep dans ofzo. Geen idee.
Edit: net terug met broodje twee. De beste man gaf me zelfs een bak sambal mee, mocht ik het te weinig vinden, dus qua klantenbinding is dat super. Ik heb het net naar binnen gewerkt en we kunnen gerust stellen dat dit momenteel het beste broodje döner is van Hoofddorp.
