Ma CA neemt een bord vlees, maar met saus en groenten ik ga voor – wait a minute – de Hawaï döner!
De Hawaï döner is een uitzondering op de regel dat je aan een goed product niets meer moet veranderen.
Allereerst is er een kwart Turks brood, zoals het hoort. Daarbij hebben we direct een minpuntje: de buitenkant is iets te droog. Het vlees is plakvlees, minpuntje twee, maar het is perfect gebakken en uitstekend gekruid: scherp, maar niet overdreven heet.
De hoeveelheden zijn goed. De salade is vers, gevarieerd en voldoende: sla, kool, pittige rode ui, helemaal goed. De saus is fris pittig. Over dit alles is gesmolten kaas en exact de juiste hoeveelheid verse ananas uitgestort. De zoet frisse ananas zorgt voor de perfecte balans met het pittige vlees en het Turkse broodje.
Voor €4 kan je een verdere maaltijd overslaan. Het geheel krijg je dan ook nog geserveerd op een bord, met mes en vork. Zo hoef je de overmaat aan beleg uiteindelijk niet van de straat te eten (3 seconden regel) Dat je het op dan ook nog op het terrasje kunt eten, maakt de avond perfect.
