Blunt force trauma? Nah, Red Light Kebab
Waar te beginnen? Geen idee.
Laatst was ik in Amsterdam om te meeten met wat gasten uit de US.
Van mn werk af sprintte ik langs de shop en vergat te eten zodat we meteen aan het bier konden.
Domme keus natuurlijk; je gaat beter eerst een bodem leggen.
Op de helft van de avond kreeg Slaytoven honger van al dat gerook en gelul dus liepen we de Winston uit, de Warmoesstraat in.
Je voelt het al aankomen natuurlijk; hier hoef je niet op zoek te gaan naar topcuisine.
Helaas, we waren nou eenmaal daar en dat was dat.
Als je van de Winston terugloopt richting CS, krijg je vanzelf dat stukje doorgang naar het Oudekerksplein.
Laat daar nou een soort van snack/kebabtent zitten!
We bestelden beide een broodje en gingen verder met het gesprek over drugs/hoeren/werk/muziek/kebab, zoals vrijwel alle gesprekken gaan met gasten die hier niet vaak komen uit andere landen.
De kebabmonsieur was een jonge gast die erg aardig was. Misschien kwam het wel door al het oeverloze gelul dat hij de hele tijd moet aanhoren van elke lamme zak die daar rondwaggelt op zoek naar goedkope thrills. Op een gegeven moment luister je er waarschijnlijk doorheen.
Hij prepareerde twee broodjes (kalf?) met alles erop. Ze zagen er redelijk uit, wat meevalt in deze buurt.
We betaalden geloof ik drie vijftig en kregen extra saus erop voor het plaatje.
Nou het cruciale gedeelte; ik weet er weinig meer van.
Ik geloof dat het best te doen was allemaal, maar zoals verwacht geen topnotch kebab natuurlijk.
Eerst had ik het idee Slaytoven te mailen wat hij ervan vond maar ala, dat zal hij ook wel vergeten zijn. Ik hoop eigenlijk dat ie er wat van kan zeggen als dit stuk gepost is.
Hoe heet die tent? Geen idee man, het is die ene tent daar, er is geen andere (Google streetview werkt niet op die plek anders had ik alle info kant en klaar).
Wat ik wel weet, is dat de helft van mn broodje duivenvoer werd omdat ik meer trek had in bier drinken.
Nou ja, dan maar zo….ik ga er binnenkort wel weer eens heen.
Of niet.
