6 mei 2014 – Borussia Dortmund-speler Kevin Grosskreutz heeft een vervelende nasmaak overgehouden aan een avondje stappen. De Duitser was afgelopen zondagnacht in Keulen te vinden en gooide een broodje kebab in het gezicht van een fan van 1.FC Köln, die daarna de politie erbij haalde. Er werd proces-verbaal opgemaakt.
Grosskreutz werd getreiterd door een groepje supporters, waarna voor de 25-jarige voetballer de maat vol was. “Kevin voelde zich beledigd door de fans, die hem spottend toezongen”, zegt ploeggenoot Julian Schieber, die met Grosskreutz op pad was. “Maar dat hij iemand opzettelijk heeft willen raken? Absoluut niet.”
Het slachtoffer riep de politie erbij omdat hij last had van brandende ogen. Volgens de eigenaar van de kebabzaak in Keulen hadden Schieber en Grosskreutz een kebab met extra pikante saus besteld. Grosskreutz is niet blij met de gebeurtenissen. “Ik ondervond de situatie als beledigend en voelde mij persoonlijk gekrenkt. Natuurlijk had ik de kebab beter niet kunnen gooien. Het staat buiten kijf dat dit niet de beste oplossing. Ik heb er spijt van.”
Blijft natuurlijk zonde van de kebab. Maar hij schijnt er toch echt van te houden, gezien dit stuk dat ik later vond.
